Pumpwerkstatt is an artist-run ceramics workshop located at the Pumpwerk in Grünau, surrounded by forest in southeast Berlin. Built around sharing practice and knowledge, the space has a strong focus on ecological thinking and recycling strategies. The workshop was founded by Maximilian Thiel, a Berlin-based artist working across ceramics, printmaking, and sgraffito, trained at UdK Berlin and in Mexico. Ongoing member Nikita Evglevskii works primarily with materials he gathers and processes himself—wild clay, wood ash, and handmade glazes.
